Manchester United striker Alessia Russo has been named the PFA Vertu Motors Fans' Player of the Month for November.
Despite being on the losing side in her first outing of the month, Russo managed to get herself on the scoresheet as United were beaten 3-1 by league leaders Chelsea.
The Reds had no time to dwell as they travelled to the Emirates to face unbeaten Arsenal 13 days later, and Russo made her mark again, scoring in stoppage time to secure a brilliant comeback win.
The 23-year-old played brilliantly in both November outings. Both her work ethic and energetic press have been invaluable to Marc Skinner’s side after returning from a minor knock in early October.
She was nominated for the November award alongside Brighton’s Danielle Carter, Chelsea pair Lauren James and Sam Kerr, Rachel Daly of Aston Villa and Manchester City’s Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw.
