Manchester United 'respond' to Jadon Sancho offer as 'price tag set' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have rejected a loan offer from Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

Sancho arrived at Old Trafford from Dortmund in a £73million deal two years ago, but has failed to make an impact and struggled with fitness and confidence. The 23-year-old was out of the first-team picture entirely for two months last season, instead undertaking an individual training programme.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the winger in recent weeks, and the Daily Star reported over the weekend that Dortmund would be open to a return. The German side are said to have proposed a season-long loan, although it has been rejected 'out of hand' by United.

However Sancho is still said to be available, with United hoping for a permanent move. The club will reportedly aim to recoup around £45million from any sale.

Elsewhere, Justin Bijlow has been a reported United target but Dutch outlet Voetbal International insists the 25-year-old is categorically 'not for sale'.

The Athletic reported on Saturday evening that contact had been made regarding the potential transfer of Bijlow, with Erik ten Hag keen to get a goalkeeper through the doors quickly. David De Gea became a free agent over the weekend, following the expiration of his contract.

Several other clubs are said to be keen on the Dutchman, but Feyenoord insist he is not for sale.
