Manchester United are continuing to plan for the return of fans to Old Trafford for their final home game of the season against Fulham.
The Premier League has confirmed the fixture list will be changed to allow each club one home game after lockdown restrictions are eased to allow fans back into stadiums.
Under the current roadmap spectators are allowed back into stadiums on May 17, which would initially only have covered the final weekend of the Premier League season, when United are away at Wolves.
But by rescheduling some fixtures in matchweeks 36 and 37, the Premier League are giving each club one home game in front of fans, with up to 10,000 allowed into grounds.
Further information from the government is expected in the next two weeks, but United intend to continue planning for 10,000 fans inside Old Trafford for the game against Fulham on Tuesday, May 18 or Wednesday, May 19.
A United statement said: "The Premier League today confirmed that the fixture list will be amended in due course with our final home match of the season, Manchester United v Fulham, moving either to 18 or 19 May. This will open up the possibility of hosting a limited number of fans at this match if the Government’s planned roadmap out of the current lockdown remains on track.
"Further information is expected from the Government by 10 May which will confirm whether lockdown restrictions will be eased further, enabling fans to return to Old Trafford for the Fulham match.
"Once we know more, we will be able to communicate the relevant stadium and ticket arrangements to fans.
"Until then, we will continue our scenario planning and preparations with our staff, partners and local authorities as we look forward to welcoming fans back to Old Trafford."
