Manchester United 'reignite interest' in Lautaro Martinez and other transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

A month ago, reports were circulating regarding the Reds' interest in the Argentine World Cup winner. However, the noise quietened as Inter battled their way to the Champions League final.

But, United may be back in the running for Martinez, according to 90min. Their report claims the 25-year-old is set to leave Italy after Saturday's match against Manchester City.

It adds that Martinez's representatives have spoken to a number of Europe's biggest clubs as they aim to thrash out a deal. Among them are United and Chelsea, who are understood to have followed the striker's career for years.

Real Madrid are claimed to be interested too and, like the Premier League duo, are long term admirers. The striker has enjoyed a great season netting 28 goals so far.

Elsewhere, heavily linked Reds target Kim Min-jae is willing to reject Newcastle interest in order to move to Old Trafford. According to journalist Graeme Bailey on The Fully Loaded Transfer Show, Eddie Howe is keeping a close eye on the South Korean but Kim has his heart set on a move to a more established club.

Explaining the latest on Kim, Bailey said: "Newcastle are being kept informed about the situation, there’s no denying that, they are. You don’t win the raffle if you don’t buy a ticket, but, and I’m not saying Newcastle aren’t a big club, but Kim will be targeting someone like United if he’s going to leave Napoli.

"Napoli will be fighting to not lose another of their star players, but with this release clause they have to pay it in full. If you did get him he’d be an absolute superstar, he’s a worldie of a player, he really is."

Kim made 45 appearances this season for the Naples club but reports in Italy suggest the 26-year-old is all but a United player after reportedly bidding farewell to his teammates.
