Manchester United receive Jadon Sancho transfer boost from Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund's CEO has reiterated the club will listen to Jadon Sancho if the forward states his wish to leave the Bundesliga club.

Manchester United are targeting a summer move for the 19-year-old, whose reputation continues to soar as a result of his impressive form in Germany.

Sancho has directly contributed to 36 goals in 35 appearances for Dortmund this term, scoring 19 times and recording 17 assists.

It was reported by Sky in Germany in February that Sancho has decided he wants to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.

Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said earlier in March that he doesn't think Sancho wants to leave but, speaking ahead of Dortmund's game away to PSG on Wednesday night, he hinted the club is open to the teenager's departure.

"Jadon is a great, great talent, maybe the greatest talent in Europe currently of players under the age of 21," Watzke told RMC Sport.

"In my opinion, he has the potential to become one of the two or three best players in the world in the years to come.

"If one day he comes to us and says that he wants to leave the club, then we'll discuss it."

Sancho was part of the Dortmund side that lost 2-0 at the Parc des Princes to crash out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage.

Goals from Neymar and Juan Bernat secured PSG's progression and Sancho took to Instagram after the match to say Dortmund's performance had not been good enough.
