Manchester United receive injury boost ahead of Leeds United pre-season clash in Perth

Leeds United's next pre-season opponents Manchester United will potentially have a fully-fit travelling party to choose from when they meet on Wednesday in Perth.

The Whites face the Red Devils at Optus Stadium in the first match of their tour of Australia, with Marcelo Bielsa's side looking to get the better of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Premier League outfit.

The Mancunian side however have been handed a double boost by the news that forward pair Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial have returned to full training following small injury problems.

Belgium international Lukaku, one of a handful of players Down Under linked with a move away from Old Trafford following a difficult season, could feature when United face Perth Glory on Sunday, ahead of their clash with Leeds.

In addition, France international and World Cup winner Paul Pogba remains firmly in the mix, despite a desire to also seal an exit.

Defender Luke Shaw had also previously struggled earlier this week, but also took part in Friday's key training session, leaving Solskjaer with no major concerns ahead of a busy pre-season.

Chilean international Alexis Sanchez is currently unfit, but as he is absent from Australia, he does not figure into the Norwegian's plan, while Ivory Coast man Eric Bailly is thought to have recovered from a knee injury sustained in late April.

Leeds meanwhile are expected to take the majority of their senior squad abroad this weekend following pre-season wins over York and Guiseley, though they will leave behind several first team players who returned later to training following international commitments.
