Manchester United 'ready to offer swap deal for Lautaro Martinez' and other transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer Anthony Martial and £50m for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

MEN Sport understands a striker is Erik ten Hag's priority in the summer after losing Cristiano Ronaldo in November. Wout Weghorst was signed on loan in January but it is understood he will not be signed permanently.

The Reds have made Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane their top target but a list of backup options has been drawn up in case Spurs are unwilling to let their striker go. According to footballtransfers.com, Martinez is one player United are interested in after he scored 23 goals so far this campaign.

They claim Martial is ready to be offered to Inter so as to help sweeten the deal. United's Frenchman has performed well for Ten Hag this season but his injury troubles have made him an unreliable option for the club.

Elsewhere, a move to Old Trafford reportedly appeals to Sporting centre-back Goncalo Inacio. The 21-year-old is a key player for the Portuguese giants and has made 48 appearances so far this season.

It is understood United first became interested in Inacio when he performed admirably against Arsenal in the Europa League. The Almada-born player believes a move to the Reds would be a good one for him, according to O Jogo.

United could look to overhaul their defence in the summer with it widely believed captain Harry Maguire may be one of those leaving Old Trafford. Inacio is under contract until 2026 so it would take a big offer to see Sporting part ways with the youngster.
