- The club also recently missed out on signing Elliot Anderson, who ultimately joined rivals Manchester City in a significant £116 million transfer.
- Kone, who represented France at the World Cup, is valued by his club Roma at approximately €50 million, with Atletico Madrid , Chelsea and Al-Hilal also reportedly showing interest.
