Manchester United: Rasmus Hojlund takes aim at club in social media dig

Rasmus Hojlund has fired a shot at Manchester United in his latest social media post.

The Danish striker, now playing for Napoli, left Old Trafford in the summer, joining Antonio Conte’s side on an initial loan that could become permanent next year.

Napoli defeated Bologna 2-0 to win the Supercoppa Italiana on Sunday night, with David Neres netting both goals at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Two former United players started for the Gli Azzurri - Hojlund and his old team-mate Scott McTominay - who has also become a hit in Italian football since his move in the summer of 2024.

Both players played the full 90 minutes, and Hojlund took to Instagram to take aim at his parent club.

Posting a picture of himself with the Italian Super Cup, the Dane captioned the image: “What a great decision looks like.”

Hojlund has played 19 games in all competitions for Napoli this term, scoring seven goals and laying on three assists.

At United, he played 95 times, notching 26.

He was sent out on loan in the summer having struggled under Ruben Amorim, who replaced him with Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Sesko has since suffered the same fate as Hojlund at Old Trafford, starved of quality service and enduring a goal drought in the early stages of his career in Manchester.

The Slovenian, signed for £73.7million, has played 14 games for his new side and scored just twice.
