Manchester United pull out of Super League alongside other Premier League clubs

Manchester United have joined their fellow Premier League clubs in withdrawing from the planned Super League.

The news follows Ed Woodward’s resignation from his role as executive vice-chairman at United, with the 49-year-old set to leave the club at the end of the year.

“We will not be participating in the European Super League,” read an official statement released by United on Tuesday night.
