Manchester United promote six youngsters to first team training ahead of Cardiff City match

Manchester United youngsters Angel Gomes, Dylan Levitt, Arnau Puigmal, Mason Greenwood, James Garner and Tahith Chong all trained with the first team ahead of this weekend's season finale against Cardiff City.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Manchester United vs Cardiff City should serve as a major transfer reminder for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford on Sunday with Champions League qualification now impossible for the Reds. United can finish fifth in the Premier League with a victory and if Arsenal drop points against Burnley.

But Solskjaer is likely to use the match as an opportunity to blood youngsters with an eye on next season.

Chong came off the bench to replace Alexis Sanchez during the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield last weekend and Gomes, Garner and Greenwood have all been involved with the first-team at various stages of the season. The latter may even be in contention to start against Cardiff having netted 30 goals across four age groups this term.

Spanish midfielder Puigmal, 18, and Welsh Under-19 international Levitt have also impressed in the United youth sides and joined in with first-team regulars while Solskjaer oversaw training at the Aon training complex in Carrington.
