Manchester United 'preparing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic offer'

Manchester United are 'preparing an offer' for Lazio attacking-midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic ' according to reports.

After securing his prime right-back target in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned his attention to strengthening other areas of his United squad with midfield being a high priority.

United have already lost Ander Herrera this summer after he decided to leave on a free following the expiration of his contract and join French champions PSG.

The future of Paul Pogba also remains uncertain with Real Madrid and Juventus continuing to be linked, but Solskjaer insists that no bids have been made for the Frenchman and that United 'don't have to sell players.'

United have been heavily linked with a number of midfielders so far this summer, with Sporting captain Bruno Fernandes and Newcastle youngster Sean Longstaff appearing on the shortlist.

Yet, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, United are 'preparing Milinkovic-Savic offer'.

United have been linked with the Serbian international countless times in past transfer windows but the rumoured interest has never materialised into anything more.

Regardless the 24-year-old has continued to improve in Serie A and enjoyed another good season with Lazio and scored a goal in the Coppa Italia final to help his side lift the trophy.

It's claimed that United will bid £67m for Milinkovic-Savic but the Roman side are holding out for a massive £107m for their prized asset.

Elsewhere in United's midfield hunt, Tottenham Hotspur are yet to receive any 'official bids' for star playmaker Christian Eriksen, according to reports.

The Dane made his desire to leave Spurs for a 'new challenge' public this summer following his side's Champions League final defeat and United have repeatedly been linked with a move.

However, The Guardian report that 'Spurs have received no official bids for Eriksen' and he is 'set to join up with his teammates by the end of the week for pre-season training.'

Spurs have already broke their transfer record in signing Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer and risk losing Eriksen for nothing next summer when his contract expires, unless a team make a move this summer.
