Manchester United predicted team to face Chelsea as Solskjaer sweats on key duo

Chelsea are preparing for a huge Premier League clash against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

The Blues haven't exactly got off to an ideal start this season after spending more than £200million during the summer transfer window.

Frank Lampard's men have picked up just eight points from their first five outings, conceding nine times and picking up just two wins.

But while that's not ideal, Chelsea are still above Manchester United, who have also been slow out of the blocks, picking up six points from their first four games.

The two teams go head-to-head this weekend at Old Trafford, and ahead of the game, Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provided an injury updated following his side's Champions League win over PSG in the week.

“No, there is nothing that we’ve struggled with after the game," he told the United website. "Of course, there’s tiredness of the travel and little aches and pains but I think everyone should be ready for the weekend.

“We’re still hoping Mason (Greenwood) and Harry (Maguire) can be available in the squad.

"Of course, we have a training session today (Friday), so they’re going to have to go through that. Eric (Bailly) won’t be available. Jesse (Lingard) won’t be available so we’ll manage without them for a few weeks I think.”

So, with that in mind, what sort of team will Chelsea go up against on Saturday evening?

We spoke to our colleagues at Manchester Evening News and while there are some close calls with injuries, as eluded to by Solskjaer, the most likely lineup is expected to be as follows:

David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Axel Tuanzebe, Harry Maguire, Alex Telles; Scott McTominay, Fred, Bruno Fernandes; Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford.

United may also be able to call upon deadline day signing Edinson Cavani, who is being tipped to make his debut from the bench.

“He might be ready for the squad as well for this weekend,” Solskjaer added. “He’s been training hard and been training well.

“I think he’ll be available for the weekend.”
