Manchester United players arrive for training under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and John Murtough pictured

Manchester United's players arrived at Carrington on Tuesday to train under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Manchester Evening News revealed on early Tuesday morning that Solskjaer was due to take training despite his future having been in thrown in serious doubt at the club after United were humiliated by rivals Liverpool on Sunday, losing 5-0 at Old Trafford.

Although United had endured a tumultuous few weeks on the pitch, it was understood that Solskjaer still had the backing of the club's hierarchy, however, Sunday's debacle against Liverpool has led to unprecedented calls for the Norwegian to be sacked.

There is an acceptance at United they have 'a lot to do' to turn their season around following this latest setback.

With the exception of those struggling with injury, United's players received Monday off training after Sunday's heavy defeat.

Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all featured against Liverpool and were pictured arriving at training on Tuesday.
