Manchester United players arrive for training ahead of Chelsea fixture

Ander Herrera has been pictured arriving for training as he prepares to make his Manchester United return against Chelsea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the midfielder could make his return to the match day squad on Sunday having not played since suffering a thigh injury against Watford on March 30, having previously spent nearly a month out with a hamstring injury he picked up in February against Liverpool.

"I would think so yeah," Solskjaer said about Herrera ahead of the Chelsea clash. "There’s three games left and Ander's been training, enthusiastic and will probably be involved on Sunday, can't guarantee but he's trained the last two days. He’s been injured."

The players were pictured arriving at the club's Carrington training base on Saturday morning ahead of the must-win game against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

David de Gea was another player spotted by photographers and Solskjaer insisted he would be sticking with the Spaniard despite calls to drop him for the mistakes he made in the Manchester derby defeat on Wednesday.

Asked if he might remove the United No 1 Solskjaer said: “No. Not at all. Because I trust David and he’s for me been the best player United have had for the last six or seven years. He has been absolutely outstanding – going through tough patches is part of a footballer’s career and David will be fine.”

It's a must win game for United in the hunt for Champions League football next season. A win would send them level on points with Chelsea with two games left to play this season.
