Manchester United player Teden Mengi criticises Hannibal Mejbri on Instagram

Manchester United defender Teden Mengi commented on teammate Hannibal Mejbri's post after the Frenchman shared a picture alongside Chelsea youngster Pierre Ekwah on Instagram not long after United's recent 6-1 defeat by the London side.

Both Mengi and Mejbri started the game against Chelsea along with new arrival Facundo Pellistri but United conceded twice within the first two minutes which set to the tone for a disappointing afternoon in the capital. U18s prospect Joe Hugill came off the bench to score but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation in the defeat.

United's development side sit ninth in a 13-team table, but before the loss to Chelsea had only lost one of their previous eight games.

Mejbri posted a picture on Instagram alongside Chelsea youngster Ekwah, one of his France U16 teammates, on Monday and Mengi responded, writing: "The reason why we lost, too many friends and not enough enemies."

Mejbri refused to take sole blame for the defeat, replying: "It's good that you said WE", before Mengi wrote: "It's a team sport not an individual one."

United youngster Aliou Traore, currently on loan at SM Caen, replied to Mengi's initial comment with crying laughing emojis to which Mengi replied with an angry face emoji.
