Manchester United player ratings vs Nottingham Forest as Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford good

David de Gea

Well beaten for the disallowed goal and made a straightforward stop from Gustavo Scarpa's volley. 6

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Not particularly present in attack and was made to look slower by Brennan Johnson. Had a more serene second half. 6

Victor Lindelof

A respectable return on his first start in three weeks and grew into the game in his reunion with Lisandro Martinez. 7

Read more: Ten Hag makes admission over Anthony Martial role

Lisandro Martinez

Played a key role in the opening goal and overcame the odd unsettling moment in defence in what was another accomplished performance. 8

Tyrell Malacia

Erik ten Hag was on his case a number of times amid the Dutchman's sloppiness and, like Wan-Bissaka, he did not encounter as much hassle after the pause. 6

Casemiro

His presence was felt from his first touches of the ball and he was instrumental in the second goal. Makes a major difference to the midfield. 7

Christian Eriksen

Still not back to his best and prone to the odd lapse. Hit the crossbar with a classy curler in a better second half. 6

Antony

Ten Hag's pre-match message got through: Antony was far more direct and should have scored before his shot led to Wout Weghorst's goal. 7

Bruno Fernandes

A complacent flick got short shrift from Ten Hag and Fernandes got frustrated with his own errors on a night he was out of sorts. Yet he still scored. 6

Marcus Rashford

Practically petrified Joe Worrall into granting him the one-on-one he buried. Passing choices off at times and sensibly withdrawn before the hour. 7

Wout Weghorst

Good link up play again and got his first goal by reacting alertly to Antony's parried strike. Slipped when he had the chance for a second. 7

Subs

Alejandro Garnacho

Not as troublesome as he has been off the bench. 6

Fred

Freshened up the midfield. 6

Facundo Pellistri

Good cross for Weghorst but played himself into trouble. 6

Anthony Elanga

Nice assist for Fernandes. 7

Manager

Played a suitably strong side against a team undefeated at home since September and United were especially dominant in the first 20 minutes. Made sensible substitutions. 7
