Manchester United had another day to forget at Old Trafford as Arsenal consigned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to their third Premier League home defeat of the season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured all three points from the penalty spot after Paul Pogba’s costly foul on Hector Bellerin, with United struggling to create chances in another disappointing result at home.
The result will once again raise questions about Solskjaer’s future despite the 5-0 Champions League win over RB Leipzig in midweek, with United still floundering 15th in the table.
Former United captain Roy Keane was damning in his assessment of the side following the game, telling Sky Sports: "I don't see men out there. I don't see guys who you want to be in the trenches with, guys you would trust.
"Manchester United are not aggressive enough, they are not hungry enough."This team is nowhere near good enough."
The face that United looked a completely different side to the one that tore Leipzig apart just four days ago will also concern Solskjaer, while Pogba was outshone in midfield by Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny to leave more questions than answers for the Red Devils.
