Tried hard and never gave up - but was up against a forward line on a different level.

Struggled to get forward, but was defensively solid at right-back.

Another who worked hard and never gave up.

Another poor display from the full-back. Gifted Messi his first of the night, before producing foul after foul.

Hard to believe the Frenchmen was on the pitch at times. On a night when his side needed him to stand up and be counted, he simply went missing.

Full of energy and offered plenty of width, but his teammates failed to get him the ball in attacking arears. Off for Alexis Sanchez.

Faded after a bright start and was replaced by Diogo Dalot.
