Flirted with disaster by losing the ball to Aguero in the move that led to Sterling's chance but recovered and defended excellently at centre-back and wing-back. 7

His first start in over two weeks and it hardly showed. Supported the attack tirelessly and offered decent service but was rash with his defending at times. 6
