Manchester United player ratings as Tyrell Malacia and David de Gea good vs Fulham

David de Gea

Saved a penalty at Old Trafford for the first time since October 2014 with United 1-0 down. If this was a send-off (it probably isn't), it was a pretty good one. 8

Diogo Dalot

Started brightly but faded and did not dominate the right-hand side as he did in the first months of the season. A Cup final start seems unlikely. 6

Victor Lindelof

A largely trouble-free afternoon ahead of a probable FA Cup final start next week. In the best form of his United career. 7

Harry Maguire

His intercepted pass led to Fulham's penalty but Maguire contributed to the attack United equalised from. More confident in the second half. 7

Tyrell Malacia

Likes a sliding tackle as much as, if not more than, Aaron Wan-Bissaka. One of his most impressive performances since his purple patch at the start of the season. 7

Casemiro

Conceded the penalty with a clumsy trip on Tom Cairney but bustled about and his positional discipline allowed Fred to roam. 6

Fred

Got it wrong even when the ball fell right for Jadon Sancho to equalise. Had a dreadful 54 minutes until he mimicked Michael Carrick to assist Bruno Fernandes. 6

Jadon Sancho

Another decent performance on the right ahead of a possible Cup final start there. Could not miss when the ball rolled into his path. 7

Bruno Fernandes

Performed erratically until played through by Fred and he finished coolly past Bernd Leno to put United 2-1 up. 7

Alejandro Garnacho

Started slowly but went close with one shot that went wide and another that smacked the woodwork. Probably still not ready to complete 90 minutes. 6

Marcus Rashford

Kenny Tete got ahead of hin to nod Fulham ahead and Rashford toiled for most of the first half. Squandered a good chance early in the second. Also denied by Leno. 6

Subs

Scott McTominay

More minutes ahead of Cup final day and booked. 5

Christian Eriksen

A pre-Cup final run-out. 6

Anthony Martial

Same as Eriksen. 6

Wout Weghorst

Missed a sitter. 5

Facundo Pellistri

Some bright moments. 6

Manager

Sensibly rotated the team ahead of the FA Cup final and United did not suffer any more casualties. The team was strong enough to win. 7
