Manchester United player Odion Ighalo makes Mason Greenwood prediction

Odion Ighalo has predicted Mason Greenwood will continue his rapid development at Manchester United and become a top player for the club in the next two to three years.

Ighalo joined his boyhood club in the January transfer window to add depth to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's front line and has netted four goals in three starts for the Reds.

Solskjaer has praised the impact of the Nigeria international on the club's younger players such as Greenwood who is enjoying a breakthrough season in the first team.

Greenwood has netted five Premier League goals this season but has made just four starts, though he has started five Europa League fixtures this term.

Ighalo believes he has a bright future at Old Trafford.

"He's very young and exciting. Very good player, left and right, he can shoot and score goals," he said during an Instagram live appearance.

"He's a player for the future for Man United. He's doing well now but in two or three years he is going to be doing very, very well."

The forward was also asked about Paul Pogba as the Frenchman was nearing a return to full fitness prior to the postponement of the Premier League season.

Ighalo wants to see the midfielder make an impact when he's back in the side.

He added: "He's a nice guy. A good player. He laughs with everybody. He's a very good guy.

"Hopefully he will be back soon from his injury to hit the ground running."
