Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has been discussing England's confidence at the European Championship, but has issued a warning ahead of the quarter-final against Ukraine.
Gareth Southgate's side secured a historic 2-0 victory against Germany on Monday — the first knockout win against their old rivals since 1966, boosting confidence heading into the latter stages.
England are considered to have a fairly straightforward route to the final, with a semi-final against either Denmark or the Czech Republic on the agenda for the winners of tomorrow's clash in Rome.
However, Shaw has reiterated that the Germany win will count for nothing if England fall short against Ukraine and is insistent the mindset has to be right.
"There has always been that belief that we could go the whole way. I don't see why we shouldn't have that belief with the squad that we've got and the experiences that we've had," Shaw told the FA's YouTube channel.
"Especially with the result against Germany, that gives you the extra confidence to push on even more and I think we need to show that."

England now face a quarter-final tie against Ukraine, with Southgate's side firm favourites for the fixture, but Shaw has stated the squad need to have the right mindset.
"We've had our meetings, we've watched them a lot, they changed formation in the last game so we need to be wary of that, whether they come with their normal formation or switch like they did.
"Most importantly, it's about us. We need to go into this game in the right manner and in the right way."
"It's going to be a different test and one that we need to be ready for. If we don't get a result in this game, then the one against Germany doesn't matter.
"All focus is now on this game and we want to show to people how much we really want it."
