Manchester United player Jesse Lingard reacts to England's victory over Ukraine

Manchester United's Jesse Lingard was among the millions who tuned in to watch England's dominant European Championship quarter-final victory over Ukraine.

A brace from Harry Kane was complemented by strikes from Jordan Henderson and United captain Harry Maguire, with England setting up a last four tie against Denmark at Wembley.

The win secures back-to-back semi-final appearances for Gareth Southgate's side at major international tournaments, with the nation now just one win away from a showpiece final at Wembley next Sunday.

Lingard was among the players in contention to feature for the Three Lions at Euro 2020 following a stellar second half of the season at West Ham. Unfortunately for him, the 28-year-old saw those hopes shattered due to an injury which ruled him out of inclusion in the final squad for the tournament.

That has not quelled his spirits though, with the United academy graduate showing his support for his international teammates on social media.

Lingard's celebrations were well documented on both Instagram and Twitter, as he tagged the likes of Kane and Maguire in his videos after they found the back of the net, at once stage chanting "easy, easy!" and later posting that "it's coming home".

Like the rest of the country, Lingard will now be looking ahead to Wednesday's semi-final against Denmark at Wembley — as England look to make their first appearance at a tournament final since the 1966 World Cup.

The winner of Wednesday's clash will face either Italy or Spain, who go head-to-head at Wembley on Tuesday in the tournament's first semi-final.

The final will be played at Wembley on Sunday with an 8pm kick-off in front of 60,000 passionate supporters.
