Manchester United reportedly handed Christian Eriksen a £12m signing-on bonus to ensure they beat Tottenham to his signature. The Dane arrived as a free agent in the summer following the end of this contract at Brentford. He became Erik ten Hag’s second signing as United boss and has played all five games so far this season.

It says the 30-year-old is commanding a weekly wage of £200,000, which is part of the £43m package. United spent a record £225m on Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro and Antony this summer.
