Manchester United are open to selling Jesse Lingard before Tuesday's transfer deadline as they look to trim their squad size following the re-signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lingard, 28, has entered the last year of his United contract but United have not received a concrete offer for the £25million-rated forward.
It is highly unlikely United would receive an offer close to their valuation before Tuesday's 11pm deadline even though Lingard scored nine goals in 16 games on loan at West Ham earlier this year.
West Ham are working on a deal to sign attacking midfielder Nikola Vlašić from CSKA Moscow, which could end their interest in Lingard.
United are aiming to shift two forwards following the imminent return of Ronaldo, with Leeds the frontrunners to sign Daniel James.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer currently has Ronaldo, James, Lingard, Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata, Amad, and Donny van de Beek in the United attacking department.
Amad is out until October with a thigh injury and Rashford is also not expected back until October after he underwent shoulder surgery.
United are hopeful Cavani will stay despite his unhappiness at the decision taken by Premier League clubs to prevent internationals from playing in red list countries. The Uruguayan football association confirmed the cancellation of Cavani's call-up for next month's World Cup qualifiers this morning.
Cavani and Mata are both out of contract next year and are expected to leave upon the expiration of their deals.
