Manchester United have officially launched their adidas away kit for the 2020/21 season.
Following on from the release of the new home kit last week United finally unveiled the strip they will be wearing during some away matches next season.
The new kit is described as featuring a ‘legend earth green’ pattern which has been inspired by the railway-based roots of the club and Newton Heath. The club crest has been woven in a similar green and white colour scheme, while the adidas branding is in white.
United officially launched their new away kit on Saturday morning with a range of promotional shots which showed the men's and women's team wearing the shirt while on a range of different transport, which is supposed to convey the feeling of togetherness when joining fellow supporters on the road.
A press release from the club read: "While travelling to football matches is currently not possible, adidas and United wanted to recognise the importance of the club’s legendary away following – and look forward to the day when they can again be loudly heard wherever the team is playing."
United will wear their new away shirt for the first time during their Europa League semi-final against Sevilla FC in Cologne on Sunday night.
