Manchester United not in talks to sign Corentin Tolisso from Bayern Munich, says agent

The agent of Bayern Munich star Corentin Tolisso has denied reports that he has held talks with Manchester United over a transfer.

Speculation in France this week claimed United had made contact over a possible £31million move for the World Cup winner.

The 25-year-old has been plagued by injuries in the last two seasons and has been far from a guaranteed starter at the Allianz Arena even when fit.

The former Lyon man has two seasons left to run on his contract, meaning this is likely the last window in which Bayern could expect to command a sizeable fee for him without extending his deal.

However, Eric Castagnino told Sky in Germany: "I am not having any discussions with Manchester United.

“Corentin is currently injured and his return to the field is an absolute priority.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could yet make a move for a central midfielder this summer, with Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek one possible target. However, with Paul Pogba looking more and more likely to stay at the club this summer, the Norwegian has options in the position already, following impressive seasons from Fred and Scott McTominay.
