Manchester United news: 'POGBA OUT' graffitied on sign at Carrington training ground as transfer talk looms

A sign at Manchester United’s training ground has been graffitied with ‘POGBA OUT.’

Vandals have targeted the sign, which warns fans that players cannot stop for autographs outside of the Carrington site, to convey their displeasure at Paul Pogba and the transfer chatter surrounding the Frenchman.

The graffiti is sprayed in red paint over a black and white sign that was recently erected in a bid to stop the proliferation in fans loitering outside of the training ground in an attempt to see the club’s players.

The picture, which has been published by the Daily Mail, is potentially a further sign of fans' frustrations with the midfielder's desire to leave the club this summer, though there is no evidence of who is responsible for the vandalism.

Pogba has started all three of United’s games so far this season, and was racially abused by anonymous accounts on social media after missing a penalty against Wolves.

Real Madrid have been linked with Pogba throughout the summer, but talk has quietened a little in the last couple of weeks, and with the European transfer deadline swiftly approaching and Manchester United not keen to sell, a move appears unlikely.

United are also believed to doubt the spending power of Real Madrid after a heavy summer of recruitment, and are reported to have quoted a figure of £150m to the Spanish club, a figure they do not believe they would be able to pay when Pogba’s wage demands are also factored in.

Alexis Sanchez is, however, expected to leave the club in the next few days after a loan deal was agreed with Inter Milan.

Manchester United visit St Mary’s on Saturday to face Southampton in the early kick-off.
