Manchester United morning headlines as Roy Keane hammers Man Utd players

Pogba revives Madrid talk

Paul Pogba said it is a 'dream' for him to one day play for Real Madrid.

“I am at Manchester. We know that this has been spoken about a lot and I have not [spoken about it],” Pogba said while on international duty with France. “I heard a lot of noise that I was going to leave and I was going to leave to clubs left and right.

“Today, I am still at Manchester United and I am fighting to try to take the club even higher. We have all heard these things that have been said.

“What to respond? Yes, all footballers would like to play for Real Madrid. Maybe it is a dream. It is a dream for me, why not one day? As I have said, I am at Manchester United and I like my club.

“I am performing at Manchester United, I am enjoying myself and I want to do everything I can to get the club back to where it deserves to be. I am going to give my maximum, like my teammates. I prefer to concentrate on football and on returning to fitness.”

Keane labels United players ‘disgraceful’ after Tottenham defeat

Roy Keane did not hold back in his criticism of United’s squad after last weekend’s 6-1 loss to Spurs.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were heavily beaten at Old Trafford after Anthony Martial was sent off in the first half.

“The performance against Spurs was disgraceful. We’ve all had bad days in football, but it was disgracefully bad, some of the players’ performances,” he told ITV ahead of England's friendly with Wales on Wednesday night.

“Too many bluffers and they will cost Ole his job. The players he’s got there, they threw the previous manager under the bus, they’ll do the same to Ole.”

Matic hails signing of ‘great’ striker Cavani

Nemanja Matic has backed Edinson Cavani to be a success at Unted.

“It's always good when we have additions to the team,” Matic told United's website. “We’ve signed quality players, so we will see what they can bring to our team. So we're happy; we are happy to see them. Hopefully they can fit very well in our team and they can win some trophies with us.

“I played against [Cavani] a few times. A great player, a great player. Very experienced. He scores goals, always. So I hope he will continue to do the same job for us.”
