Badiashile bid rebuffed - report
United have had an offer for Monaco starlet Benoit Badiashile turned down, according to reports.
The teenage defender enjoyed an impressive season in Ligue 1 last time out and has been linked with United.
Although MEN Sport understands Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is happy with the defensive options at his disposal , French outlet Telefoot state United have had a €25million (£22.4m) bid for Badiashile rejected.
New Monaco manager Niko Kovac wants to keep the highly-rated youngster at the Stade Louis II.
However, the French side’s financial difficulties mean they will be forced to consider all incoming offers.
Maguire expected to retain captaincy
United are expected to back Harry Maguire as captain in the short-term, despite the defender being found guilty in a Greek court this week.
MEN Sport understands there is no immediate decision planned by United to strip Maguire of the captaincy, nor will any 'emergency' meeting take place in the coming days, contrary to reports. He was handed the captain's armband by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January after Ashley Young's departure to Inter Milan.
Maguire will discuss the situation with Solskjaer and United chiefs in time, but after being withdrawn from the England squad by Gareth Southgate, the player has time to rest and reflect on the incident in Mykonos.
Triallist scores in first game
Teenage forward Devon Arnold has confirmed he is on trial with United as he looks to secure a deal in the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old forward is being looked at by United and he made the perfect first impression when he netted the winning goal on his debut.
Arnold played his first game for United U23's on Tuesday and netted the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory against Stoke City.
Taking to social media after the match Arnold uploaded a picture of himself wearing United training gear along with the message: "1-0 win today! Played 90 mins. Scored the goal."
