Manchester United morning headlines as Inter Milan confirm transfer fees paid to Man Utd

Inter confirm fees paid for United players

Italian club Inter Milan have confirmed the fees paid to Manchester United for the transfers of Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young.

The Milan giants paid a club-record €74.162 million (around £66.75m) to land Belgian striker Lukaku while they shelled out a further €1.729m (£1.55m) to land Young in January.

Inter’s business with United does not finish there either as they secured a loan deal for Alexis Sanchez a year ago and took on a significant part of the Chilean’s wage packet.

The MEN revealed this week Inter are confident of signing Sanchez on a permanent deal.

United interested in Skriniar - report

Manchester United are willing to offer Sanchez and Chris Smalling to Inter in order to land defender Milan Skriniar this summer.

That is according to a report by Italian outlet CalcioMercato which states United are intent on securing the Slovakian and will offer Sanchez and Smalling to make the deal happen.

Opinion: United repeat tactic in Sancho negotiations

Manchester United are deploying the same tactics in pursuing Jadon Sancho that they used to land Bruno Fernandes in January.

As outlined in greater detail by our United writer Rich Fay here , United plan to draw out the negotiation process as they are confident of clinching a deal as no other club is in the race for the Borussia Dortmund star's signature.

MEN Sport understands the England international is United's number one transfer target this summer and United are focussed on lowering the base fee of the transfer while maintaining the overall fee through a series of in add-ons, which is what they did with Sporting for Fernandes in January.
