Manchester United 'monitoring' Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah following Champions League final comments

Manchester United are monitoring Mohamed Salah's uncertain situation at Liverpool, according to a bizarre report in Spain.

Liverpool forward Salah was asked about his future following the Champions League final on Saturday night, and according to AS his answer has put United on high alert.

Speaking after the victory in Madrid over the weekend Salah was asked about his transfer plans, to which the Egyptian understandably answered: "I do not want to discuss my future now."

According to the Spanish publication that answer constituted as uncertainty over his future and it is being reported that United are one of three teams considering a move for Salah.

The report suggests Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both also considering a move for the Liverpool forward should he leave in the coming weeks, but the report seems absurd.

Most glaringly is the fact Salah has not indicated he actually wants to leave the club, while the prospect of him joining United is out of the question.

It is safe to say the transfer window silly season is truly under way.

In terms of other transfer news, Romelu Lukau has reportedly agreed personal terms with Inter Milan ahead of a rumoured move.

The latest from SportMediaset is that Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has agreed terms on behalf of the Belgian striker and now it is a case of the Italian club meeting United’s asking price.

However, the price could be a stumbling block with United reportedly wanting way in excess of £60million, however reports suggest Inter would prefer a loan move.

Elsewhere, reports in Italy suggest Ajax have received a £75m bid for the services of Matthijs de Ligt this summer.

Tuttosport report that Juventus have submitted an audacious bid for the Dutch international as they look to secure his services from under the nose of both United and Barcelona.
