Manchester United misery worsens as Liverpool and Man City fan chants send reminder

Liverpool fans are in full voice tonight against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup.

Reds supporters are housed in the Bill Shankly Kop at Deepdale this evening with the entire stand to themselves and they can be heard loud and clear.

Still revelling in Sunday's 5-0 thrashing of Manchester United, ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ chants could be heard shortly after kick-off.

Jurgen Klopp's side made a statement of intent against their rivals at Old Trafford at the weekend, leading to increased pressure on United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Mohamed Salah became the first opposition player to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford in the Premier League as the Reds inflicted misery on their opponents.

Liverpool fans aren't the only set of fans that seem to be enjoying the current situation at United.

Leeds United fans mocked the Manchester club and under-fire Solskjaer with similar chants during their Carabao Cup game at Arsenal on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere, Manchester City fans could be heard chanting ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ at the London Stadium against West Ham tonight.

Despite speculation over Solskjaer's future in the aftermath of the defeat, the United boss has returned as normal this week and is expected to be in the dugout at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium this weekend.

United are currently seventh in the league but sit seven points behind Liverpool in second.
