Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has sent Juventus forward Moise Kean a message of support after he was the subject of racist abuse on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old forward was targeted for abuse throughout the match as Juventus secured a 2-0 win away at Cagliari in Serie A.
Kean netted the second goal of the match at the Sardegna Arena and celebrated by standing in front of the home supporters with his arm aloft, and was subjected to further abuse.
Following the goal play was stopped for a few minutes and a warning message was broadcast to the crowd telling them that further abuse could potentially lead to the game being abandoned.
The captain of Cagliari, Luca Ceppitelli responded to the incident by walking over to the supporters behind the goal and appealing for the racial chants to stop.
Taking to Instagram following the match the young forward uploaded a picture of his goal celebration and added the caption: "The best way to respond to racism."
The incident involving Kean is the latest in a spate of high-profile racist incidents at football matches following similar occurrences with Kalidou Koulibaly, Danny Rose and Raheem Sterling amongst others in recent months.
France international Pogba took to social media to condemn the incident on Wednesday morning, and offered his support in the fight against racism.
Pogba uploaded a picture of Kean's celebration to his Instagram account with the caption: "I support every fight against racism, we're all equal."
