Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira gives extra information on transfer plans

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has again spoken of his plan to finish his career away from Old Trafford.

The Brazilian is a lifelong Santos fan, and both he and the Brazilian club's president recently talked up the idea of the 24-year-old joining the Sao Paulo club.

And while Pereira said he will not be leaving Europe just yet, he has reiterated that he wants a move to Santos at some point in the future - and this time clarified that he wants to play for the club while he is still at the top of his game, rather than move there to wind down his career.

"For me, that's right. I want to end my career at Santos," Pereira told Globo Esporte.

"But I'm not thinking as many say, that I want to [just] play for Santos. No. I want to go to Santos to win [titles]. Win the Paulistão and everything possible.

"I am not going there to close and 'steal' money. I'm going to play well and say: 'remember Andreas at Santos?'

"My whole family is from Santos. Whenever we are watching a Santos game, there is a family group that keeps talking.

"Since I was little, I grew up watching this. I was becoming a player and always dreamed of playing for Santos, but I went to Manchester, I grew up, then everyone said: 'why won't you play for Santos?'.

"I want to go, but now I can't. I want to play football in Europe and then go."
