Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that being an outspoken Manchester United fan does not necessarily mean you are one of the best.
United have long been known for their superb following in the Premier League but there has been unrest shared among some supporters on social media platforms this summer.
A section of fans have set up a Twitter campaign against the ownership of the club, while others have voiced their discontent over the perceived lack of transfer activity from the club.
The United manager insists that United supporters are 'fantastic' on the whole, but suggested that some fans are not necessarily expressing their interests in the best way.
Solskjaer was speaking at his first press conference of the pre-season tour of Australia on Wednesday morning when he was asked about disillusionment from some supporters.
"The passion in our fans is fantastic and they want us to be successful," Solskjaer said.
"The loudest ones are probably not the best fans and I don't get too much of it, Karen (Shotbolt, the press officer) sends some. When I'm speaking to fans they're very positive and want to see us win again and that's our aim."
Some supporters have voiced the concerns over the issue that United have signed only two players in the summer transfer market, but Solskjaer insisted the club are still in the market for more additions.
The United manager added: "We're still in the market looking to do some business but we're patient. We're Manchester United we don't have to sell and don't have to overpay you have to have the right players at the right price and if you look at the squad we've got now there are so many good players."
