Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Mason Greenwood is developing into a 'special' talent after his latest matchwinning performance for Manchester United.
Greenwood scored the winner in United's 3-1 triumph at Aston Villa, where the 19-year-old overtook Wayne Rooney to become the club's highest teenage goalscorer in the Premier League era.
Four of Greenwood's 11 goals this season have been league winners and he is on a run of seven goals in his last 10 games across all competitions as Gareth Southgate mulls over his 26-man England squad for the European Championship.
Greenwood was only substituted in the 65th minute at Villa Park as he had played for 90 minutes in Rome three days earlier and Solskjaer stressed the forward is still filling out.
"I can say that Mason is learning all the time," Solskjaer said. "He’s learning on the job, which is not easy. It’s difficult and he’s had to bear a lot of responsibility and he’s popped up with so many important goals for us.
"Thursday night, he worked his socks off and then he’s going again and he’s tired, his body has not really filled out yet and he might not be ready for all of these games but he’s got something special.
"The kid just turns the game around in one split second and the goal today was excellent, so I’m delighted that he’s got back to his goalscoring best and he’s learning more and more all the other bits as well."
Solskjaer must decide whether to retain Greenwood for the visit of Leicester on Tuesday night or rest him in anticipation of a recall against Liverpool on Thursday.
