Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives verdict on Marcus Rashford form

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not concerned by Marcus Rashford's form for Manchester United following his return from injury.

Rashford missed eight weeks of the season with a double stress fracture to the back but came back into the side at Tottenham on June 19 and lined up five days later in United's home victory over Sheffield United.

Although Rashford laid on two goals for Anthony Martial in the 3-0 win he spurned two gilt-edged chances and was criticised for ceding possession in the build-up to Tottenham's opener.

Solskjaer brought Rashford on in the 63rd minute at Norwich, where his performance level was again questioned. "Of course, Marcus has been out for a while but I think he's looked sharp," Solskjaer said.

"He came on and looked sharp against Norwich, against Sheffield United he missed one or two chances but the goals he created is what we're focusing on and he's on his way to the best season ever.

"I'm looking forward to him getting more minutes and he'll definitely score a goal soon."

Four of Rashford's goals have come against Chelsea, United's FA Cup semi-final opponents after they reached the last four for the third time in the last five seasons with an extra-time victory at Norwich.

Solskjaer has already come up against Chelsea five times as United manager in the three domestic competitions, winning four and drawing one. A fourth win of the season over Frank Lampard's side could set up an FA Cup final with Manchester City.

"We're delighted to be in the semis and delighted to be looking at the prospect of going to a final," Solskjaer added. "Of course, going to Wembley for a semi-final against a team we've played so many times over 18 months. We seem to play Chelsea every other weekend.

"It's a game we're looking forward to."
