Manchester United have made contact with Leicester City over the signing of England U21 international James Maddison, reports say.
United are looking for young British players to spearhead a march back to the Champions League next season, and have been previously linked with the likes of Jadon Sancho, with Welsh winger Daniel James set to sign.
Now, the Daily Record say the club have enquired over the availability of Maddison, who impressed in his debut Premier League season this year.
Maddison joined Leicester for £22m last summer from Norwich, but it is reported it will cost United £60m if they want to acquire his services.
United are also thought to have enquired about Lille goalkeeper Mike Mignan, the Record say, who has an asking price of €35m.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race to sign Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
The Belgium international, 26, is said to be a transfer priority for newly-installed Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte, but PSG are reportedly keen on a move for the forward.
Lukaku is believed to be considering his future at Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And The Express report that Lukaku is on a list of targets at the French champions, who are also monitoring Nicolas Pepe’s situation at Lille.
Finally, United are ‘closing in’ on the signature of young Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias, reports say.
Portuguese media outlet A Bola claims the Reds have added Dias to their list of defensive targets, which also includes Matthijs de Ligt, Toby Aldeweireld and Kalidou Koulibaly.
