Manchester United make announcement on season tickets

Manchester United have confirmed season tickets for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign have now sold out.

Although 10,000 supporters returned to Old Trafford to watch United play Fulham at the end of the season, the government are set to remove most COVID-19 restrictions on July 19 which would ensure the return of full capacity sporting arenas across the nation.

That means 76,000 fans should be permitted to return to Old Trafford for United's opening game of the new Premier League season against historic rivals Leeds on 14 August, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's side bidding to launch a serious title challenge.

Because of the high demand, United have confirmed season tickets have quickly sold out this year, though.

United officials have written to supporters to communicate the news and are encouraging fans who missed out this time to join their season ticket waiting list.

United fans will be relishing the chance to return to Old Trafford and they'll be hoping they can watch some new talent on the pitch, with potentially Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane players that could offer something to look forward to, if they do eventually sign.
