Manchester United loanee Amad has won the Player of the Month award in the Championship for December.
Amad, 20, signed for Sunderland on a season-long loan in August and his performances have impressed United club staff since Tony Mowbray's appointment at the Stadium of Light, which has seen him become an integral first-team member.
The youngster has contributed a total of six goals and two assists in 14 starts in the North East and he enjoyed an impressive December, in which he hit three goals against Millwall, Wigan Athletic and a penalty against West Brom.

Amad received 35 per cent of the public vote to win the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award for December, beating fellow nominees Ross Stewart, Chuba Akpom, James McAtee, Viktor Gyokeres and Iliman Ndiaye to the individual prize.
Sunderland do not have the option to make Amad's loan permanent and he's set to return to Old Trafford in the summer.
A well-placed source suggested in November that Amad needed 'a run of 10 games' to showcase his qualities and Sunderland manager Mowbray has given the winger regular opportunities, a decision which has been vindicated.
Amad joined United for £19m rising to £37m from Atalanta in October 2020 but he's only played nine times for the club.
His contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer of 2025.
