Manchester United line up vs Southampton includes Juan Mata plus Jesse Lingard dropped

Manchester United have named their starting line up for the Premier League fixture against Southampton on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made three changes from the side which lost to Crystal Palace at home last weekend with injured duo Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw both dropping out of the squad.

Juan Mata comes into the starting XI for the match at St Mary's while there is also a first start of the season for club captain Ashley Young at left back.

Mason Greenwood is on the bench, while fellow academy star Tahith Chong has also been named on the bench alongside Jesse Lingard.

United XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young; Pogba, McTominay, Pereira; Mata, James, Rashford.

Subs: Romero, Rojo, Tuanzebe, Lingard, Matic, Chong, Greenwood.
