Manchester United line up vs Man City includes Dean Henderson and Victor Lindelof

Manchester United have included Dean Henderson and Victor Lindelof in their side to face Manchester City tonight.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has picked a strong team for the Carabao Cup semi-final clash at Old Trafford, with Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford starting.

United have made just the two changes from the 11 that beat Aston Villa 2-1 on New Year's Day.

Lindelof has recovered from a back injury to start alongside Harry Maguire in central defence, while Henderson continues his run of starting every game for United in the League Cup this season. David de Gea and Eric Bailly are among the substitutes. Fred and Scott McTominay start in central midfield, with Mason Greenwood, Donny van de Beek and Nemanja Matic all on the bench as well.

Before the game, Solskjaer insisted his side could have no excuses as they look to avoid a fourth successive semi-final exit under the Norwegian. United lost in the Carabao Cup semi-final over two legs to City a year ago and were also beaten semi-finalists in the FA Cup (to Chelsea) and Europa League (to Sevilla).

Solskjaer is determined to go one better this season, as Old Trafford stages another derby without fans.

"We have developed a lot in the last 12 months from last season's EFL Cup semi-final," he said. "It is not just a case of learning how to win them, it is earning the right to go all the way. But we are confident and we are in good form. There are no excuses."

United XI: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba; Martial.

Subs: De Gea, Bailly, Mata, Telles, Tuanzebe, James, Matic, Van de Beek, Greenwood.
