Manchester United line-up vs Huddersfield includes David de Gea and Alexis Sanchez plus Tahith Chong on bench

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made three changes to his starting line-up for Manchester United's penultimate Premier League game of the season at Huddersfield.

Alexis Sanchez starts in place of Romelu Lukaku, with Phil Jones replacing the injured Eric Bailly and Scott McTominay starting over Ander Herrera.

Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Lukaku did not travel after missing training during the week through injury.

Youngster Tahith Chong is on the bench, as is Diogo Dalot, Fred and Andreas Pereira.

Goalkeeper Lee Grant also makes the bench with Sergio Romero suffering an injury last week in training. He did travel with the squad to the stadium, though.

The Reds are likely to miss out on the top four and the qualification for next season's Champions League that comes with it regardless of the results in their games against the Terriers and Cardiff on the final day.

Solskjaer oversaw a successful bridging of the 11-point gap to the top four after taking over from Jose Mourinho in December but United's wretched run of four league defeats in six games in March and April looks to have cost them dearly.

United drew against Chelsea last time out and Solskjaer is keen for his side to end the campaign strongly.

"We haven't scored enough of the chances we've created," he said on Friday.

"When I first came in we were very efficient but now the margins have gone against us. We've been working on creating chances and scoring again."

United XI: De Gea, Young, Jones, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, McTominay, Pogba, Mata, Sanchez, Rashford.

Subs: Grant, Dalot, Smalling, Fred, Herrera, Pereira, Chong.
