Manchester United line up vs Colchester includes Mason Greenwood and Nemanja Matic

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his Manchester United side to face Colchester in the Carabao Cup quarter final.

United are looking to book their place in the semi-final of the EFL Cup and move a step closer to Wembley with a win against the League Two side at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

A convincing win against Chelsea helped them set up the tie against The Us and Solskjaer will be hoping for a similar performance from his team in the quarter final.

The Norwegian made a number of changes to the side that drew against Everton in the Premier League on Sunday with David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Daniel James and Fred all totally rested and not making the match-day squad.

Paul Pogba is still out as are Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The Norwegian had hoped to have Diogo Dalot back for the fixture but it appears it has come round too soon for the full back as he was not part of the squad.

Manchester United starting XI: Romero, Young, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, Pereira, Greenwood, Mata, Rashford, Martial

Subs: Grant, Jones, Williams, Garner, Lingard, McTominay, Chong
