Manchester United line up vs Chelsea includes Brandon Williams and Fred for Carabao Cup game

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made four changes to his Manchester United side to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and youngster Brandon Williams starts.

Williams makes his first domestic start for United having played in both recent Europa League away games at AZ Alkmaar and Partizan, while James Garner also impressed in Belgrade and is a substitute.

Sergio Romero starts with David de Gea rested, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka continuing at right back.

Fred and Scott McTominay were given a chance to continue their partnership in midfield, while Jesse Lingard started in attack opposite Daniel James and Marcus Rashford.

Ethan Laird travelled with the squad having played 90 minutes at Doncaster for the U21s in the EFL Trophy last night, but was not part of the starting XI or substitutes. Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong also featured in the late 2-1 win so were not involved at Stamford Bridge.
