Manchester United line up vs Chelsea includes Brandon Williams and Daniel James

Manchester United have included Fred, Brandon Williams and Daniel James in their team to face Chelsea in today's FA Cup semi-final.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made five changes to the United side that started against Crystal Palace on Thursday night, with Eric Bailly and Nemanja Matic coming back into the team. Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are left on the bench.

Also among the substitutes is Timothy Fosu-Mensah, with Luke Shaw still ruled out through an ankle injury. David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford all keep their places.

It's a change of shape from United, who appear to be going with a three-man central defence and Williams and Wan-Bissaka as wing-backs. James and Rashford will play up front.

Before the game, Solskjaer spoke about treating the game as a one-off as United look to book their spot in the final against Arsenal.

“I think a semi-final is a one-off," he told United's official website. "We’ve just got to find the right temperament going into the game because it’s an occasion to enjoy and it’s a chance to go to a final. We’ve done well to get this far and we’ve got nothing to lose really.

"I just want them to go out there and enjoy the game. Of course, it’s going to be a tight game, we know all about Chelsea.

"We’ve played them so many times this season and they’re a good team. But we’re so close now to the final and I know that the boys are looking forward to it.

“It’s the fourth year running now that we’ve played Chelsea in the FA Cup so we know it’s going to be a tight game. There have been some classic games over the years with some good experiences and some bad experiences for the boys.

"This is a one-off. Get your mind off the league because that will take care of itself on Wednesday and Sunday next week, and we’re ready for this one.”

United XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; Fred, Matic, Fernandes; James, Rashford.

Subs: Romero, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Greenwood, Ighalo, McTominay, Fosu-Mensah.
