Manchester United line up vs Burnley includes Nemanja Matic but no Paul Pogba

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his Manchester United side to face Burnley in the Premier League.

United are looking to close the gap on the top four with a win at Turf Moor on Saturday night and build on the 4-1 win against Newcastle on Boxing Day but will have to do so without Scott McTominay.

The midfielder came off at half time of the win at Old Trafford on Thursday evening and has not travelled with the squad to Turf Moor as he recovers from his knee injury.

A more surprising absentee as the squad arrived was Paul Pogba. The France international played the second 45 of the win against Newcastle having finally recovered from an ankle injury which has kept him sidelined for the majority of the season but it appears Solskjaer did not want to risk the 26-year-old on Saturday night.

The United manager made four changes to the side that beat Newcastle with Brandon Williams, Nemanja Matic, Daniel James and Ashley Young all starting.

Confirmed United XI: De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, Fred, Matic, James, Pereira, Rashford, Martial.

Subs: Romero, Jones, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Lingard, Mata, Greenwood.
