Manchester United line up vs Brighton includes Diogo Dalot and Eric Bailly

Manchester United have confirmed their team news for the Carabao Cup encounter against Brighton on Wednesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made 10 changes from the side which beat the same opposition in the Premier League last weekend, with Dean Henderson returning in place of David de Gea in goal.

United have also made changes in defence with Eric Bailly partnered by Victor Lindelof, who is the only player to retain his place from Saturday's 3-2 win, while Diogo Dalot and Brandon Williams have been chosen in the two full-back roles.

Summer signing Donny van de Beek gets only his second start in midfield where he is joined by Fred and Scott McTominay.

Up front there are also fresh legs with Juan Mata, Daniel James and Odion Ighalo.

United XI: Henderson; Dalot, Bailly, Lindelof, Williams; McTominay, Fred, Van de Beek; Mata, James, Ighalo.

Subs: Grant, Fosu-Mensah, Mengi, Lingard, Pogba, Greenwood, Rashford.
